There is SO much you could do ‘out there’ in Web 2.0 land that it’s overwhelming … especially when it comes to picking and choosing applications for Primary age students. This is where I’ll keep links to the ones I like.

Prezi
Prezi is the ‘zooming presentation editor’. It’s a Flash-based presentation system that allows you to create really interesting presentations where you can zoom around/’within’ a single ‘page’ space.
Andrea Mosaic
Andrea Mosaic is a free project to create digital art using images and computer software. With AndreaMosaic you can create your own photographic mosaics made with your own pictures.
A photo mosaic is an image composed of many tiled photos … best viewed sitting back a bit from the screen!
Wordle
Wordle generates ‘word clouds’ from your text. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes.
Word Cloud
Word Clouds are very much like Wordles EXCEPT you can save it to your computer or print it out. It’s not quite as versatile as Wordle (colour changes etc), but it’s still a pretty good alternative.
ClustrMaps
ClustrMaps is a free thumbnail hit counter map that shows the locations of all visitors to your site, even when the numbers are enormous!
SurveyMonkey
SurveyMonkey enables you to create online surveys quickly and easily.
Animoto
Animoto automatically produces orchestrated, unique video pieces from your media.
Check out My Furry Friends … a few photos of my ‘babies’ + some music = done! Easy!
Shape Collage
Shape Collage is a free application that allows you to easily create picture collages.
You pick your photos from the web or your computer, choose any shape you want, and Shape Collage automatically places the photos into the shape.
